We have represented clients in a variety of state and federal civil cases as local counsel or associated counsel. These matters range from products liability cases to wage class actions to business disputes. We have supported leading international firms and plaintiffs' firms from across the country. In associating or partnering with lead counsel we strive to provide the most responsive and effective team possible.

Our founding partner Scott Kocher previously practiced law for Oregon's largest law firm firm, Stoel Rives LLP. His law practice has included personal injury, employment, class actions and other complex civil litigation in state and federal courts across the country.

Attorney Referrals

In addition to serving as local counsel or associated counsel, we are also accepting referrals. Please see our Practice Areas page for the matters we consider referrals for. Our firm pays referral fees in accordance with the Oregon and Washington Rules of Professional Conduct.

Liquor Liability

Forum Law Group is experienced in holding bars accountable for over-serving their customers.

Oregon's Dram Shop Act allows those injured by a customer to bring a claim against a bar if they served the customer while he or she was visibly intoxicated.

Most often these cases involve an over-served driver who causes injury to another driver, passenger, bicyclist or pedestrian. Claims may be brought against the drunk driver, the bar, or both.

Dram Shop cases are highly specialized, involving complicated scientific evidence as well as sophisticated research and investigation. Forum Law Group is well equipped for all these issues.

In 2014, Scott was featured in a BikePortland.org article regarding the region's worst offending bars.
